BIOS LIFE® SLIM™
Advanced Fiber and Nutrient Drink
Advanced Fiber and Nutrient Drink
Bios Life® Slim™ is a fiber-based, vitamin-rich nutritional
supplement. Bios Life® Slim™ contains a blend of soluble and insoluble fibers,
Unicity® 7× technology, phytosterols, policosanol, an extract of Chrysanthemum morifolium,
vitamins, and minerals that when combined with a healthy diet and exercise may
lower total serum cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease and help
achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.
Bios Life® Slim™ is light orange in color. It is a hygroscopic
crystalline powder that is generally soluble in water. Each serving of Bios
Life® Slim™ contains 4 g of fiber, 1 g of phytosterols, 750 mg of Unicity 7×, 6
mg of policosanol and 12.5 mg of an extract of Chrysanthemum morifolium.
In addition to these active ingredients each serving of Bios Life® Slim™
contains maltodextrin, citric acid, orange juice powder, sucralose and orange
flavor.
It's estimated that Americans consume 10-12 g of total fiber per
day, less than half the amount of the recommended daily intake. Epidemiological
and clinical studies have correlated low daily fiber intake with higher
incidences of obesity, hyperinsulinemia, hypercholesterolemia, and elevated
risks of cardiovascular disease.
Bios Life® Slim™ is a nutritional supplement designed to increase
fiber intake. Each serving of Bios Life® Slim™ contains four grams of fiber.
When taken three times a day this achieves half of the recommended daily value
of fiber. Fiber supplementation has been shown to decrease preprandial and
postprandial glucose levels; lower LDL cholesterol and apolipoprotein B levels;
increase satiety and facilitate weight loss.
In addition to fiber supplementation, Bios Life® Slim™ contains a
patented blend of phytosterols, policosanol, Chrysanthemum morifolium,
vitamins and minerals. Bios Life® Slim™ facilitates weight loss through five
distinct mechanisms. First, the soluble fiber matrix promotes an increase in
satiety. Second, Bios Life® Slim™ improves cholesterol levels. Reduction in LDL
content removes a potent inhibitor of lipolysis. Third, Bios Life® Slim™
improves blood glucose levels. Maintaining appropriate serum glucose levels
reduces hyperinsulinemia and promotes insulin sensitivity. Reducing insulin
levels permits fatty acid oxidation to occur. Fourth, Bios Life® Slim™ restores
appropriate leptin signaling. Lastly, Bios Life® Slim™, reduces triglyceride
levels allowing for leptin to cross the blood-brain barrier and effect its
mechanism of action. Research has shown that this product may serve as a first
line treatment option for mild hypercholesterolemia, as well as adjunct therapy
for lipid lowering pharmaceutical intervention.
Dissolve the contents of one packet or one scoop into 8 to 10 fl.
oz. of liquid (water or juice) and stir vigorously. Drink immediately. Use
15-20 minutes before meals up to three times daily.
Bios Life® Slim™ is well tolerated. There may be mild
gastrointestinal discomfort, such as increased flatulence or loose stools,
during the first month of initial use due to the increased uptake of dietary
fiber. This GI disturbance usually disappears within the first thirty days. If
the GI discomfort persists, reduce the number of servings of Bios Life® Slim™.
If the GI discomfort further persists, stop taking the product and consult your
physician. Taking this product without adequate liquid can result in
complications. If you are a diabetic, consult a physician for proper use of
this product, as the chromium may reduce the need for medication.
Bios Life® Slim™ is packaged in single-serving foil packets or in
bulk canisters.

PRODUCT : BIOS LIFE S – HELPS TO LOSE VISERAL FATS –21-10-2012
What is Visceral Fats?
Visceral
fat is different from other body fat. Visceral fat, also called intra-abdominal fat, refers to the fat that
surrounds the internal organs. Subcutaneous fat, on the other hand, is
body fat that is close to the skin's surface and is considered less dangerous,
and easier to lose, than visceral fat.
Studies have shown that those with visceral fat are more susceptible ...to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and hypertension. Sedentary people, smokers and drinkers have been shown to have more intra-abdominal fat, or visceral fat, than active people who are non-smokers and non-drinkers. Stress may also be a factor in the storage of visceral fat on the body.
Visceral fat is harder to lose than subcutaneous fat because it is more deeply embedded in the body's tissues. Visceral fat is only measured accurately by an imaging machine that can see how much of the abdomen is made up of visceral fat. A person may be within a healthy weight range, but still have too much intra-abdominal fat around the internal organs.
The liver metabolizes visceral fat and releases it into the bloodstream as cholesterol. Harmful, or "bad" cholesterol, which is Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL), builds up into a plaque that blocks the arteries. Losing weight through proper diet and effective exercise can help reduce visceral fat. How much fat a person eats does matter as studies have shown that those who eat 30% or more of their diets as fat usually have high amounts of visceral fat.
Bios Life Slim helps to target those areas and make you lose those stubborn fats around your belly area. As the fats are surrounding the internal organ thus its requires times and discipline of consistently consuming Bios Life Slim to burn those fats away. Regular walking will help experdite those results.

Research Brief
During dieting, the body naturally tries to protect itself from perceived famine by going into starvation crisis mode. In this mode, the body starts clinging to fat deposits because those deposits will provide the most energy in the long run. Meanwhile, the body starts breaking down muscle tissue to use as energy. To counter this loss of lean muscle mass, protein consumption must be increased. Studies have shown that protein prevents the loss of lean muscle and actually helps rebuild these muscles.
In addition, maintaining the proper protein-to-carbohydrate dietary ratio is critical for optimal weight loss. Studies show that increasing the protein-to-carbohydrate ratio has positive effects on body composition, blood lipids, and satiety during weight loss. Carbohydrates are problematic because the body converts them into sugar via an enzyme called alpha-amylase and, when those sugars aren't used for energy, secretes insulin to convert them into glycogen, which can then be stored in fat cells. One of the best ways to eliminate this fat-storage cycle is to reduce intake of carbohydrates.
Research indicates that eating smaller, more frequent meals may enhance nutrient absorption, promote stable blood-sugar levels, and enhance metabolic rate. Current recommendations suggest that fat should provide no more than 20 to 30 percent of total caloric intake, carbohydrates should contribute approximately 40 to 50 percent of total caloric intake, and protein should make up the rest. In addition to maintaining these overall ratios in the diet, one should also strive to consume the proper types of macronutrients. Fat intake, for example, should be high in unsaturated fat and essential fatty acids. The best food sources for such fats are soybeans and cold-water fish. Complex carbohydrates should be consumed in lieu of highly processed simple sugars. Complex carbohydrates have lower glycemic indices and also provide fiber to the diet. Proteins should supply all essential amino acids without increased consumption of fat.
